MBDH Collaboration Cafe - USDA NIFA Data Science for Food & Ag Systems (DSFAS) program
Looking for data science collaborators? The MBDH Collaboration Cafe is open!
The Collaboration Cafe is a monthly webinar open to all that is focused on building a community of data science researchers in the Midwest and beyond to explore funding opportunities and develop proposals.
The Collaboration Cafe is an informal meeting, but has some structured elements during the sessions, including a funding opportunity walk-through, lessons learned from prior awardees, researcher lightning talks, small group discussions, and a speed-networking segment. There's also a community infrastructure in place with shared documents, a playlist of past sessions, and a Slack community.
The next session is February 17 at 12:00 pm CT / 1:00 pm ET to talk about opportunities for collaboration around data science in agriculture in the Midwest. We’ll discuss the Data Science for Food and Agricultural Systems (DSFAS) program from the USDA's National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) with special guest Dr. Ann Stapleton, USDA NIFA National Program Leader for AFRI DSFAS, and prior awardees of the program.
