The Iowa State University Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is currently accepting applications for funding to develop a series of seminars or workshops focused on building communities to harness the data revolution.

Up to $500 in funding is available to cover costs (project coordination, videography, refreshments) associated with the development and delivery of a seminar series/webcast/workshop to build data communities. Possible topics can include, but are not limited to: water quality; environmental sustainability; precision animal sciences and engineering; automated text mining for agricultural sciences; and function annotation of genomes. Projects can range from several weeks to the entire semester, beginning as early as summer with completion by December 2020. This call will fund up to six proposals.

Interested parties are encouraged to coordinate speakers including appropriate subject matter experts to their topic area, such as statisticians, biosystems engineers, data scientists, and veterinary and animal science.
